Neak Oknha Chen Zhi is the chairman of Prince Group (officially Prince Holding Group), one of Cambodia's largest and fastest expanding conglomerates, but interestingly much about him is largely unknown.

Despite his extensive business interests in Cambodia, Neak Oknha Chen Zhi Prince Group of Cambodia appears to be keeping a low profile, with the exception of an official Twitter and LinkedIn account, which are likely handled by his staff.

From what we can gather, these are some of Chen Zhi's official profiles and pages on the internet:

He is of Chinese descent and is also known as Chen Zhi. He later became a Cambodian citizen by naturalisation. He visited Cambodia in 2010 and met with Prime Minister Hun Sen.

His interest in Prince Real Estate has resulted in the establishment of numerous businesses in both Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville, Cambodia. These ventures paved the way for a one-million-square-meter expansion.

The Prince Plaza Center, the Prince Modern Plaza, the Prince IT Building, and the Prince City Center are a few examples. They are still being renovated, so they will be finished soon.

Belt Road Capital Management, Prince Bank, Cambodia Airways, Prince Supermarket, Awesome Global Investment Group, and Canopy Sands Growth are all subsidiaries of Prince Group.
It would not be shocking if he invested in other businesses if they had a good chance of succeeding.

He is not only a businessman, but also a philanthropist.

Last year was Chen Zhi's year of philanthropy in Cambodian society. He had donated $3 million to assist Cambodia in purchasing one million COVID-19 vaccines.

Chen Zhi stepped in to support the victims of the Cambodian floods.

He also made a significant contribution to the establishment of the Prince Horology Vocational Training Center, which provides full and partial scholarships to deserving Cambodian students.

Neak Oknha Chen Zhi seems to also be interested in having Cambodian-made watches be able to compete with those made in Switzerland and Japan.

Arrival of Chen Zhi in Cambodia

What brought Chen Zhi to Cambodia? He has the ability to form relationships with people from all walks of life. Because of his real estate experience and contacts, he is able to complete large-scale projects. His astute networking skills may have aided him in growing his business empire so rapidly.

Though Chen Zhi prefers to stay out of the spotlight and works behind the scenes, he has nevertheless led Prince Group to launch over 240 charity events over the past few years. The Prince Charitable Foundation is the Group's most active unit outside those of the core business divisions in banking, aviation, retail, or real estate development.

Chen Zhi and the Group were instrumental in obtaining employment for many people in Cambodia. They accomplished this by embarking on a massive undertaking, which is the construction of Ream City, a modern city spread across 834 hectares in Sihanoukville costing to the tune of $16 billion.

Since it will be built on reclaimed land, Ream City will have the typical features of a settled city, such as malls, hospitals, landed homes, hotels, restaurants, coastal resorts, beach houses, beaches, and so on.

Given Chen Zhi's ambitions and desire to contribute more to the Cambodia society, it won't be long before he is a household name in Cambodia.
